We are pleased to share the CTO Craft and Albany Partners Compensation Survey Report 2023.

This survey was undertaken with the aim of providing a transparent overview of engineering leadership compensation. We explore compensation norms, trends and patterns in salary and pay structure across tech leadership.

The report was made possible by the 600 participants who completed the survey during April and early May 2023. Thank you for the time and trust you invested in sharing your data with us. The volume of responses has enabled us to produce a robust analysis of compensation trends across the market.

Additionally, the report contains tips for engineering leaders who are negotiating for competitive rates based on our decade of expertise in hiring Chief Technology Officers into businesses undergoing periods of growth and transformation.
